Amstel is known for its crisp, mildly bitter taste and cheerful character with a wholesome, floral aroma and hints of hop.
Amstel was founded in 1870 by Charles de Pesters and Johannes van Marwijk Kooij in Amsterdam, with the brewery using water from the Amstel River for both production and cooling.
The red and white circle logo represents billiard balls, which the founders loved to play together.
